The size of prayers depends on the size of our God. And if God knows no limits, then neither should our prayers. God exists outside of the four space time dimensions He created. We should pray that way!

When we open our spiritual eyes, we start seeing God everywhere we look. We see the image of God in others. We see His fingerprints on His creation. We see God-ordained opportunities all around us all the time.

We live in a culture where everyone wants to have his or her voice heard but has so little to say. And that's because we do so little listening, especially to God. And by voice I mean the unique message God wants to speak through our lives. But finding our voice starts with hearing His voice.

The spiritual disciplines are art forms. Your first prayer will probably look like a kindergartener's painting. Of course, God still puts it on His refrigerator! But if you keep practicing prayer, your faith will become fluent. Living a Spirit-led life is a steep learning curve. It takes time—and by time, I mean decades, not days. You have to grow in the spiritual disciplines little by little. That's how you go from strength to strength. You keep benchmarking

Yes, the Bible is our sword. It's our best offense, our best defense. But when we misinterpret the truth, we're abusing the Bible.
