It's important to believe in yourself because if you don't believe in yourself, then no one else can believe in you.

The how-to-do-it always comes to the person who believes he can do it.

Success isn't anything to do with being lucky. It's knowing what you want, taking the necessary action, and believing you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

A truly humble man is sensible of his natural distance from God; of his dependence on Him; of the insufficiency of his own power and wisdom; and that it is by God's power that he is upheld and provided for, and that he needs God's wisdom to lead and guide him, and His might to enable him to do what he ought to do for Him.

There is this fine line between presenting to You all of my weakness and thinking that it can't be done. In Your strength, I find my own.

Here in the sub-Sahara, it seemed that the weaker people were, the harder they had to lean on God - and the harder they leaned on him, the greater their joy.

Like a black, velvety cloth set against diamonds, your disability provides a remarkable backdrop that magnifies patience, perseverance, endurance, and an uncomplaining spirit. These Christlike qualities that God longs to cultivate in your life are amplified against your obvious hardships. Your chronic condition is, no doubt, obvious to others—but what God wants to make obvious to others is your perseverance and lack of complaint.

Still, if it comes to the point where the blue acrylic dappled with cirrus suggests the Lord, say Give me strength to sustain the hurt, and learn it by heart like a decent lyric.

The big question is whether you are going to be able to say a hearty yes to your adventure
