Be careful what you wish for, dear. God just might move you halfway around the world someday.

Goodbyes were like crossroads where the path divided, places where you could look back at what you were leaving behind yet glimpse the choices and possibilities that lay ahead.

Humans are very attached to outcomes. We say we trust God but behind the scenes we work our fingers to the bone and our emotions into a tangled fray trying to control our outcomes. We praise God when our normal looks like what we thought it would. We question God when it doesn't. And walk away from Him when we have a sinking suspicion that God is the one who set fire to the hope that was holding us together.

Don't get so consumed by and focused on the mess—the feelings of rejection, hurt, and disillusionment—that you miss the miracle.

Hope is the melody of the future. Faith is dancing to that melody right now.

Too many people think that finding the reason God placed us here on earth will come in one assignment with a big title and complete job description. I believe that discovering our purpose will unfold slowly, like a seed planted deep in the ground.

In God's plan, you've got a part to play. If you know it and believe it, you'll live it.

Maybe you've been entrusted with this. Not cursed with it.

Remember that everything that happens to you is first filtered through God's hand. Interruptions can become opportunities. What you might see as distractions God might see as divine appointments. Things may happen that seem so haphazard and distracting to our agenda, but with a fresh dose of perspective, they can turn into precious moments.

Believing God has purposed our days will save us from the trouble of stepping into plans that aren't meant for us.

Our decisions aren't just isolated choices. Our decisions point our lives in the directions we're about to head. Show me a decision and I'll show you a direction.
