I don't want to be entertained. I don't want visuals or musicals. I don't want a vacation. I don't want to quit. I don't want sympathy. The cry of my heart is 'Just Give Me Jesus.'

For me, it all begins with faith; it begins with what matters most, and I try and put what I believe to be moral truth first. My philosophy of government second. And my politics third.

Lord, stamp eternity on my eyeballs.

How can you expect to dwell with God forever, if you so neglect and forsake him here?

The important question is not, what will yield to man a few scattered pleasures, but what will render his life happy on the whole amount.

No man should desire to be happy who is not at the same time holy. He should spend his efforts in seeking to know and do the will of God, leaving to Christ the matter of how happy he should be.

God is either of no importance, or of supreme importance.

But "To Be Near Unto God" in the midst of busy avocations yields its sweetest blessedness when it is cultivated in the face of sin and the world, as an oasis in the desert of life.

Sometimes you have to find the passion. It comes from the inside... Everyone has to find it for themselves.

God's way of getting your attention.

The world is in a mad dash of personal peace and affluence. Sadly, too often the evangelical church is not much different. Of course, we want our children to become Christians. But that is just an addition to the all-consuming goal, that they would attain their own personal peace and affluence.
