I was always anxious about whether I'd find a career I loved or be able to afford to buy a house.

So many times in today's society, we can put football No. 1. And I've done it in my life at certain times. You put football number one, this game is more important than anything else. Well, really, it's not. It's just a game.

The book of Job highlights the theme that God has marvelously designed the universe, the earth, and all its life in such a way as to harmonize ethics and economics. When we humans face a crisis or dilemma that appears to force a choice between ethics and economics, we can be sure God has provided a solution that compromises neither.

For it is not knowing much, but realising and relishing things interiorly, that contents and satisfies the soul.

God wants to be the most important thing in our lives. He wants to be our first passion, our first thought in the morning. He wants to be what gives our life purpose.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. When we're delighting in him, our desires come in line with his, not his with what we want.

You can never learn that Christ is all you need, until Christ is all you have.

You may never know that JESUS is all you need, until JESUS is all you have.

If the devil cannot make us bad, he will make us busy.

If we believe that God wants us happy above all else, rather than acknowledging that our role is to serve God, we wrongly believe that God exists to serve us. God becomes a a means to our end: happiness.

Sometimes what we think will make us happy is the opposite of what God wants for us.
