God is always seeking you. Every sunset. Every clear blue sky. Each ocean wave. The starry hosts of night. He blankets each new day with the invitation, 'I am here.

It doesn't matter if you do important things. What matters is that you draw close to me.

God wants to be known by you, and you can know as much about Him as you have the appetite and desire to know.

Father, I want to see Your face. Hear my cry and reveal Yourself to me as I make room for You to invade my life. I am desperate for more of You. I am here. I am knocking. Intersect my life today with a greater awareness of who You are. Please show me more of Your character and purpose as I set my heart on You. Amen.

Keep in mind, just because you don't know the answer doesn't mean that one does not exist. You simply haven't discovered it yet.

God has brought His Church into the wilderness. Spiritually, America is a dry and thirsty land. Our time of testing is at hand. God once again watches to see whether His people will seek His face or His hand. His face represents His character and nature; it denotes a relationship. His hand represents His provision and power. If you seek only His hand, you may not recognize His face. But if you know the face, you will know His hand.

Pray that your loneliness may spur you into finding something to live for, great enough to die for.

Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire brings a small amount of heat.

Christians are simply pilgrims who acknowledge their lostness and their desire for help in finding the way.

I can't do it. It would be like, say, trying to fall in love with somebody, or trying to convince yourself that your favorite food is pancakes. You don't decide those things, they just happen to you. If God is real, He needs to happen to me.

The thing I loved about her was that I never felt like she was selling anything. She would talk to God as if she knew Him, as if she had talked to Him on the phone that day. She was never ashamed which is the thing with some Christians I had encountered.

He did believe we were designed to search for and find something. And he wondered out loud if the point wasn't the search but the transformation the search creates.
