The human race is homesick for Eden, which only two humans have ever known. We spend our lives chasing peaceful delight, following dead ends or cul-de-sacs in pursuit of home. We know intuitively that we've wandered. What we don't know is how to return. Our lives are largely the story of the often wrong and occasionally right turns we take in our attempts to get home to Happiness with a capital H—God himself.

Whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him" (Hebrews 11:6, emphasis added). Call that payoff contentment, satisfaction, peace, or excitement—it all adds up to one word: happiness

hold the view that all philosophizing on life's purpose is ultimately founded upon two fundamental assumptions, or conclusions. The first is, Does God exist? and the second, If God exists, what is His character or nature?

More than anything else, prayer enables you to see your own heart and brings you into alignment with God's heart.

Life is a search for the spiritual. Whether in the throes of pain or in the disappointments of pleasure, we strive for an essence that is beyond the physical.

Seek His face and not His hand.

The Lord is not just our problem solver; He is our everything, and we need to relate to Him that way. "Now

At this moment, each one of us is as close to God's throne of grace as we choose to be.

Don't spend your time chasing blessings. Chase God, and the blessings will chase you.

The only thing that truly satisfies the longing within is to know God more intimately today than we did yesterday.

I realized that my identity was not in my leading but in my relationship with God.
