Remember that this week. You have never lived the seven days in front of you, and you will never live 'em again. Life is like a coin. Spend it any way you want to, but you can spend it only once. God would like you to learn from your experience in the wilderness. He wants to change your appetite, change your habits, change your style and, in the process, change your entire life.

Dear God, I know that my sin has put a barrier between You and me. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to suffer the penalty of my sin by dying in my place so that barrier would be removed. I trust in Jesus alone for the forgiveness of my sins.

We see the same scenario all too often today. People are told the good news of salvation by grace alone, only to respond with, "That's too simple. Where's the dignity? Where's the effort? If it's all that life changing, surely something sacrificial is required of me!

Trust that God is big enough to save anyone—even you.

Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever. Moses, you see, had walked with God long enough to know that even though the Lord's directions might seem foolish, he wasn't to question them.

Nothing to prove, nothing to lose.
